As my words have grown more and more hateful, so has my love gone wilder and untamed. And if I slit any wrist it be not that of my own, but of the me I am expected to be.
This world is stupid and meaningless enough to embitter any hope for a brighter future. Hateful and evil enough to steal from anyone their will to live.
But if you suppress some one they will fight - teeth and claws. If you forbid someone their laughter, their laughter will be louder than you could ever imagine. No one considers herself a slave if she does not see the shackle round her wrist, and no one desires freedom if all he ever tasted is slavery. One generation will break their chains?
If you suppress someone they will fight - teeth and claws - till death. That is, if they know that they are being suppressed. Are you free?
